Fiber SenSys, Inc. Receives LenelS2 Factory Certification Update Under the OpenAccess Alliance Program

Fiber SenSys, Inc. interfaces with LenelS2’s OnGuard access control security system for all Fiber Defender® FD3XX and FD5XX products

HILLSBORO, Oregon, March 22, 2019 — Fiber SenSys, Inc. (FSI) announced that it has received LenelS2 factory certification with the OnGuard® version 7.5 access control system, continuing participation in the LenelS2 OpenAccess Alliance Program (OAAP). FSI’s Fiber Defender® FD3XX and FD5XX products interface with the OnGuard platform to provide a unified security environment that includes physical perimeter security. By utilizing a high-level interface between the LenelS2 and FSI products, the customer can benefit from a single interface for their entire security solution. This single interface means that only one monitoring solution is needed for both systems, simplifying the total solution and reducing the cost of training that would be needed.

“Fiber SenSys, Inc., has completed required factory testing at LenelS2 to validate the functionality of its interface to the OnGuard system. This allows the user to monitor the perimeter/outdoor intrusion, tamper, secure, faults and other security related alarms from Fiber Defender units using the same interface used for their access control system,” said John Marchioli, OAAP Product Management, LenelS2. "We look forward to FSI’s continued involvement in the LenelS2 OpenAccess Alliance Program."

Fiber SenSys, Inc., is a wholly-owned subsidiary of OPTEX CO., LTD, the world’s largest manufacturer of outdoor security sensors. Optex is publicly traded on the Tokyo stock exchange.

Fiber SenSys, Inc., (FSI) announced today the release of an update to the current Lenel OnGuard interface.  All current Fiber Defender® products are Lenel factory-certified as part of the Lenel OpenAccess Alliance Program (OAAP). FSI’s family of perimeter intrusion detection systems interfaces with the OnGuard® access control systems V7.1 and 7.2.  This interface allows customers to incorporate all perimeter alarm information into the Lenel OnGuard product. Simplifying the operational requirements for perimeter intrusion detection systems by centralizing the command and control functions into the Lenel systems reduces operator interface time as well as reduces training and system management time.   Additionally, the installation time of new systems has been reduced, and the operator experience has increased as a result of the higher-level interface.

“Our customers want solutions,” says FSI Global Vice President, Bill Evenson. “By integrating with the Lenel platform, we can combine the Fiber SenSys perimeter solution with Lenel to best meet the needs of the customer.”

“Fiber SenSys has completed required factory testing to validate the functionality of its interface to OnGuard,” said Zach Roth, OAAP product management, at Lenel. “We look forward to their continued involvement in the Lenel OpenAccess Alliance Program.”
