David Hollingsworth

Chief Technical Officer

David Hollingsworth is the Chief Technical Officer and a member of the Fiber SenSys board of directors. With over a decade in the perimeter intrusion detection industry, David ensures technical superiority within Fiber SenSys’ software and in-house operations. His strong technical acumen has made him a vital asset in the engineering and operations teams alike, all while handling IT and export compliance duties. Before joining the Fiber SenSys team in 2010, David’s previous experience started when he was a student at MIT, allowing him to be a business owner, holder of several patents, and a software aficionado. Other notable achievements in David’s professional career include being a board member of the Society of Typographic Aficionados, a board member of his local Habitat for Humanity, and a Texas Historical Society’s Volunteer of the Year Award recipient.

Deana Trent

Vice President of Accounting & HR

Deana Trent is the Vice President of Accounting and Human Resources. Deana has a keen eye on all aspects involving Fiber SenSys' financial success as well as employee satisfaction, which has made her a vital & irreplaceable member of the team. Boasting over sixteen years within the perimeter intrusion detection security industry, Deana has her pulse on the heart of Fiber SenSys. She comes from an extensive accounting background while holding her Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a focus in Business from Linfield University in McMinnville, Oregon. Her drive to build and maintain a fantastic, skilled team has allowed Fiber SenSys to thrive and flourish at all corners of the globe. Just as she enjoys crunching numbers and helping people, she spends her time out of the office with her horses, Iggy & Meg, as well as maintaining her homestead in rural Oregon with her beloved family by her side.


Jim Mauk

President, Chief Executive Officer, & Chief Product Officer

Jim Mauk is the President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Product Officer and a board member at Fiber SenSys. Jim started with Fiber SenSys in May of 2017 as Product and Engineering Support Manager. He began his career in 1983 as an installer/service technician for a small Southern California Sonitrol dealer. He grew with the company into the role of National Operations Manager. In 2006, Jim moved to the manufacturing side of the industry with Fiber SenSys sister company, Optex, Inc. Jim brings his years of experience and comprehension of the security industry to Fiber SenSys to make sure Fiber SenSys’ customers get the best quality products and services. Jim’s responsibility for product management includes defining new products from customer input and collaborating with partners ensuring Fiber SenSys remains a leader in the industry. He also oversees our exceedingly professional and capable Engineering Support team, which always places the customer first.
